Christmas is coming!

I still have some wrapping to do! My aunt is even paying me to wrap ALL her gifts tomorrow! Horray for extra income! :-)

Here is a photo of my new car. I love her!

I also had to share this. My aunt found this under her tree.

Back: (Sorry, it won't let me rotate it)

We have laughed and LAUGHED over this. Every time I think of "I am the little one not the big one" I die laughing. She was not letting big sister get credit for note, LOL!

9 days! AND Justin and J will be 25 in 3 days!

Update

The surgeon told us the procedure went exactly according to plan. Now we pray it works! Mama has been in a great deal of pain for the past few days, but each day seems to get a little better. Thanks for your continued prayers that this procedure works and that nothing else will have to be done!

Please pray

My mom is having a procedure tomorrow, and I'd appreciate your prayers. She's nervous, and I'm anxious for her. She's been having a lot of problems, and we're praying this will be a solution for her and that no more procedures or surgeries will be necessary. We have to arrive at the hospital at 6:30 AM tomorrow morning. I will update tomorrow and post photos of Thanksgiving (lots of fun!), Christmas decor (which has been up for two weeks now, lol), and my new car soon.

Our first Thanksgiving!

Not only is this our first Thanksgiving as husband and wife, it's our first Thanksgiving cooking a Turkey Day meal!

Tomorrow evening, our grandparents, parents, and siblings (and their SOs!) are coming over for Thanksgiving. I'm really excited! I think it will be fun to have everyone in our home all at once. Thanksgiving is about family, and it makes me so happy to think of our families together enjoying each other and good food!

Justin is in charge of the turkey, dressing, and gravy. Our moms are doing the sides - sweet potato souffle, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Justin's grandmother is doing her yummy mac and cheese and my grandmothers are doing sweet tea and a dessert. And where does that leave me? Laughing and pointing my finger at everyone else?

I wish! I'm in doing a dessert too. I hope it turns out yummy. It's a pumpkin gingerbread trifle, recipe compliments of Paula Dean. We shall see...

I'm also in charge of cleaning, which I need to be doing NOW.

I'll post photos soon!

Not much to tell...

Life has been pretty routine lately. Which I must say, is a very good thing. The busyness of the wedding was so much fun, but we were ready for some lazy nothing to do weekends.

Last weekend we went down to the rocks by the dam. Sadly, I've lived here my whole life and had never experienced it!

Look close for Justin and J!

I am 75% done with my Christmas shopping. I just need to get wrapping and finish up some online ordering for that last 25%.

I SOLD my car! It was the only car I've ever had. I'm shopping around for a new car now, hoping to find a good deal in this rough economy.

I've picked up a little side job as a high school chemistry tutor. It's bringing back the nightmares from Freshman Chemistry at UGA, lol! It's some nice extra income. Ideally I'd like to pick up another PT job, but our tiny town doesn't seem to have much to offer!

Well enough from me! I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday! It's gorgeous!!!
