Opposite

This weekend was the opposite of the last. I was busy every waking minute. I was consumed with school work for the most part. Two big exams this week. One yesterday that went really well, and one today that I'm worried about, but tired of worrying about!

I also addressed and mailed my graduation announcements which I'm so glad to check off the list. Not much longer till I can put on that cap and gown! :-)

We also booked our honeymoon!!!

Negril, Jamaica here we come! I can already feel the sand between my toes!

This weekend we have our engagement photo session in Greenville, SC. Afterward, we're going to have a date. First one in... too long! Super excited about both of those!!!

Easter is my favorite church service, so I'm really looking forward to that also this weekend. I really want to go to a good sunrise service too.

Well back to studying!

Quiet

We had a quiet weekend at home. Justin has what we think is Strep or something equally nasty. He's had it since last Tuesday. He hasn't been able to eat much of anything and the inside of his throat looks gross. He's feeling a little better, so hopefully it's on its way out the door. So because he felt bad, we spent most of the weekend in our PJ's. We researched honeymoon locales and plan to book something this coming weekend. Quite excited about that!

We also signed up for a 5K Walk/Run (yes, I'll be walking, lol) put on by the Save Our Skin Foundation (SCAN) . I've been wanting to do something in my grandfather's honor, and when I heard about this, I knew this was it. Turns out, when my extended family heard about it, they wanted to join. So we've booked two hotel rooms and are making a long weekend out of it! (It's in Atlanta and falls on Memorial Day). :-)

Not much else to report. I have a Stat test tomorrow which I am dreading!!!

Have a good week!

Our Engagement Party

Last Saturday night, three of our friends who we met in Australia hosted an engagement party for us! It was so much fun!!!

Friday afternoon we got a phone call from one of the hostesses saying she had a surprise for us. I figured it out before it was actually revealed, but we couldn't of been happier!!!!

This was our surprise:

Our friend Mimi (who we met on our trip to Australia) came all the way from Valdosta to celebrate with us!!!!!!!! I literally squealed when I saw her!!! It's been almost a year since we've saw her.

We went to see the Diamond Dogs play and then out to eat Friday night!

Saturday we all went to lunch at Weaver D's. It's a really good soul food restaurant. We also got to meet Mimi's mom who came with her for the weekend (she visited family who live in Athens). She was so sweet!

Saturday afternoon, Justin and I, went back to the baseball field to see the second game in the series. I just love baseball and it was the perfect day for it. We helped set the record for the largest crowd ever that day!

Then it was a mad dash to grab supper and get ready for the party. Here's some photos from the party:

This is our special guest and our hostesses and host (Mimi, Laura Ann, Steven, and Cameron)

Australia Friends

Us with Micah and Adam (Justin's brother and groomsmen)

Us with Dillon (my cousin, also a groomsmen)

Justin, Justin (Justin's best man- try that for confusing!), and Justin's friend Mike

We're so thankful to these great people for doing this for us! It was so much fun!!!

We wrapped up the great weekend by having a group breakfast on Sunday morning. That gave us a little extra time to spend with Mimi!

Overall, it was a wonderful weekend. Now I'm paying for it this week with all this school work, Ha!

150 days till we say I do!

Sorry for

my lack of posting and delayed comments on your blogs!

Spring break was amazing, but it sure flew right by, and now that I'm back in school, things are really picking up speed!!!

I have lots of things to share, but no time at the moment.

Our friends are giving us an engagement party this weekend, so after the weekend, I'll try to post a nice long catch up!

Hope you're enjoying this gorgeous day!

Thought I'd share a few photos from our Sunday trip to the dam. Don't get too excited, lol.

In route... I love this photo!

Spring Break!!!

This week is Spring Break, and I couldn't be happier!!!

One of my roommates is here:

Key West, FL

And the other is on this:

cruising to Key West, Cayman Islands, and one other place.

But I think there's no where I'd rather be than here:

right about now. Although, I'd love to be in some tropical locale, I needed some time to just do nothing and sometimes I come home tired from vacations, lol.

Saturday, me and my mom headed to Atlanta. We ordered linens for the wedding. I had my ring cleaned while I was so close to where we bought it from, and I also found some shoes for my bridesmaids. Today we're meeting with a printer about programs, so I am getting some wedding stuff done over the break.

Isn't this weather just gorgeous?!? Yesterday, Justin, Jackson and I went to the dam. Justin ran, as he's training for a half marathon, and Jackson and I just walked. Jackson has never been to the dam, believe it or not, and he loved it. I took some photos, but can't find my camera cord at the moment. Hopefully I'll get my hands on it soon and share them!

Off to the printer's!

This weekend was so much fun!!!! We were without power for 27 hours, but even that was fun (except towards the end- I was missing WATER and my internet, lol). Hope you had a good weekend too! :-)
